Diocese - MOTHERS UNION ANNUAL RALLY PAINTS CATHEDRAL BLUE

Mother's Union Members drawn across the great Diocese of Mt. Kenya South congregated at ACK St. James Cathedral in Kiambu for their Annual Rally.

"God has given us authority over all powers. Not even malevolent forces can harm us when we are in concordance with Christ.
The authority of believers is that He who is with us is greater than he who is on their side.
Darkness will never defeat light. Hence, let us fathom the great power we have in Christ and let us exercise it with boldness."

The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi deduced in his sermonette drawn from Luke 10:16-19.

"Even us we scale great exploits. The greatest achievement in life is to have our names written in the book of life.

Remember, the devil tempts us exclusively with what we require. He takes advantage of what we love. Wealth and riches attract their highest benefit to us, only when God is embroiled within them." The Bishop added.

The Service was led by Cathedral Archdeacon, Very Rev'd Canon Geoffrey Mungai assisted by the Mother's Union Chaplain Ven. Canon John Mutonga, Rev'd Ann Mwaura and the Cathedral Pastoral Team as well as KAMA Coordinator Rev'd Haron Muratha.

The Rally was convened by the Mother's Union President Mrs. Lucy Muchene, Coordinator Mrs. Eunice Mwaura and Chairlady Mrs. Maryanne Njoroge and the Union's Council. Clergy Spouses were in attendance.

"Repentance, prayer, denial, and taking care of the needy are the key pillars of lent." Bishop Charles taught the ladies who painted the Cathedral blue reminding them of the Sub-theme of March, 'Tuisukume Injili na Shilingi'.

The Chief Speaker was Samuel Maina Gathagu
